Frédéric Pellenq founded his studio in 2016 in Paris after graduating from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-Belleville (ENSAPB).

He worked with Valentin Loellmann, and his passion for woodworking naturally led him to pursue a creative path in design.

In 2017, he released his first collection, LODGE, and began a lasting collaboration with Kolkhoze Gallery.

Frédéric Pellenq creates custom and limited-edition collectible pieces through collections of furniture and sculptural objects, each built around a strong narrative.

His work explores contrast and balance—between oversized round forms and minimalist constructions, between oneiric totems and almost bourgeois “couture” furniture.

Always with meticulous attention to detail and a refined sense of harmony. His collections reflect exceptional savoir-faire, developed in close collaboration with skilled artisans.

His work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Decoration, MilK Decoration, Popeye, Brutus, Vogue, and more.

In 2018, he was awarded Designer of the Year – Readers’ Choice by AD Germany.

2022 marked his first solo exhibition, LES QUATRE SOLEILS, at Kolkhoze Gallery. That same year, he also created sculptural furniture for Diptyque’s Kyoto retail space.

In 2024, he presented his second solo show, INSTALLATION, at Kolkhoze Gallery—a series of collectible furniture and sculptural works by the artist.

Since 2024, he has also been working on scenographic projects for major brands, using a variety of spatial scales to expand his architectural language in new ways.

This multi-scalar approach enables him to experiment with new materials and to treat these scale transitions as visual and conceptual signatures—recurring, recognizable elements throughout his body of work.
